This Farm is a well-accessible farm located at the foot of Mt. Meru with a clean title deed. About half an hour’s drive from Arusha on the way to Kenya. 1.5 hour drive to Int. Kilimanjaro airport and a 4-hour drive to Nairobi airport.

The farm is 418 acres in size, and lies at an altitude of 1,800m at the lowest point on the farm and goes up to 2,200m at the highest point farm. The farm is in between state forest management and army land, a safe place. The farm has the following labels;

Fully equipped to be able to meet the most modern Dutch requirements, especially in the field of safety and sustainability.

The management is in place. There are assistant managers for, among other things, irrigation and spraying, planting and harvesting, all these people have been employed for many years.

The farm has been active as a flower farm for 12 year sand has many staff from the nearby area. This creates a strong network in the agree-business of Tanzania

Greenhouses:

A total of 4 greenhouses with a total of 5.7 ha

Greenhouse A: 50 roofs of 8 x 36 meters 14,400 m2 accessible

Greenhouse B: 56 roofs of 8 x 36 meters 16,128 m2 accessible

Greenhouse C: 46 roofs of 8 x 36 meters 13,248 m2 accessible

Greenhouse D: 33 hoods of 8 x 36 meters 9,504 m2 accessible Total Shade-net greenhouse 57.000m2

All greenhouses and fields are equipped with irrigation from the irrigation room. This space is equipped with a Europe typ unit with A & B tanks and acid control. The entire greenhouse has:

Drip irrigation and overhead sprinklers. Power connections for the spray booms. Cyclic lighting, 2 strands per cap of 8 meter 14watt LED lighting (output same as with 100 watt incandescent bulb).

Raised beds with a mixture of coconut and marram, which can possibly be steamed with our mobile steam boiler

1 Rovero test greenhouse of approximately 1500 m2. This was set up by Dekker Chrysanthemums to conduct tests, and has double-sided ventilation, heating, sprinklers and lighting, and full equipment.

Water Resovoir

The entire farm is equipped with a system of interconnected basins/dams lined with dam liner.

In this way you can easily get water from the right pressure throughout the farm, this is just a matter of measuring the field with the GPS (present on the farm) and choosing the corresponding dam, 20 to 50 meters above the field. In this way one can irrigate at natural pressure throughout the farm with the right pressure. (this is if it is desirable or if there is no power, it is also possible with the pump).

The fixed fields all have fixed pipes. We have 5 dams that are linked.

Above this is the catchment area of> 10 ha where we collect rainwater. This runs in the reception dam. Reception dam 9,000 m3

Storage dam 90,000 m3

Dam for dekker field 1000 m3

Dam halfway up the farm 7,500 m3.
